Tengmalm's owl
Hardly any part of Scandinavia has more species than Färnebofjär-den. All of Sweden’s seven species of woodpecker are found here. There are also elk, bear, lynx and many species of owl, among them the strix uralensis. Both osprey and sea-eagle often appear here. Spring is the best time for bird watching. Thousands of swans, cranes, geese and other species stop here on theirway north.
